The Senior School
Imagine Theatre offer an advanced and intensive program for students pursuing a career within the arts, which places emphasis on the artistic and professional development of each individual student. The senior school classes run from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays and are suitable for young people aged 15 and above who are interested in pursuing a career within the theatre industry.
Classes will cover a breadth of material, including:
- Textual analysis
- Voice and Movement
- Audition technique
There will also be a chance for the young people to write, devise, develop and create their own performances throughout the year, with a focus on areas of particular interest to the student. Students aged 16+ will be supported with a personalised plan to assist them in achieving their future goals; be it getting in to drama school, university or entering professional work. Wanting to be an actor is not a pre-requisite for being a part of Imagine Theatre but approaching classes with a professional and respectful attitude is a must. Classes will focus on building the level of professionalism required for working in the creative arts industry. Students are expected to arrive on time to class, be focused and ready to work, and to be active participants in the learning process. The classwork in the Senior School will be both demanding and challenging, and as such may not be suitable for all young people.
